JOB TITLE: Salesforce Administrator

 

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The person will be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CRM platform.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and foster relationships with business users regarding Salesforce.com related support, inquiries and requests
  • Ensure project activities are delivered with high quality and on time
  • Support business requests to provide business process solutions that increase capabilities, productivity, accuracy and/or efficiencies utilizing the Salesforce.com platform and solutions.
  • Capture business requirements / user stories
  • Participate in business requirements and technical requirements discussions/meetings
  • Document and execute QA test scripts
  • Keep abreast of new SFDC features and functionality using this knowledge to update end users
  • Knowledge of dependencies in requirements that may influence other Salesforce.com solutions
  • Deliver declarative configuration solutions leveraging salesforce.com toolkit
  • Administer, customize and configure Salesforce features including but not limited to Profiles, Roles, Users, Page Layouts, Workflows, Reports, Dashboards, Objects, Fields, Record Types, Validation Rules, Process Automation, etc.
  • Participation on large engagements in a targeted / support role.
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or business administration or equivalent degree, certification or work experience is required.
  • Two years formal system development life cycle experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in the Salesforce.com platform is preferred.
  • General business experience including sales, distribution and warehouse is preferred.
  • Experience with implementing cloud based and on premise business software solutions preferred.
  • Completion of multiple trails, modules, projects and/or badges is preferred.
  • Working towards salesforce.com certification is preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint is required.
  • Ability to work independently with guidance in intervals.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required.
