Position Summary: 

 

This position requires overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing activities. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s efficiency and service levels.

 

 

Reporting Structure: 

 

The team member reports to the Director of Operations

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinating operations in the Warehouse.
  • Scheduling- prioritizing customer orders, transfers and secondary processes.
  • Building team focus & resolving conflict as required.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach associates.
  • Executes smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and requirements of customers and suppliers.
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
  • Control and manage inventory.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and associates performance.
  • Facilitate a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with laws and regulations.

 

 

Infrequent Activities:

 

  • Visiting Customers and customer engagement
  • Corporate and Divisional Cross Functional projects/meetings
  • Some travel is required up to 25%

 

Contacts outside of Company:

 

This job requires frequent communication with contacts outside the company.  Excellent communication skills must be utilized during sales calls and visits to suppliers to build confidence with the Operational functions.

 

 

Education/Experience required for position:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Operations Management or Minimum 5 years Warehouse Management Experience
