The PRISM Support Level II position provides customer interfacing, data collection, analytical support, service, cross functional collaboration between teams and sales support to MSC’s Key Accounts focusing on profitability optimization, supporting revenue growth, and ensuring (6S) solutions are maintained, to enhance customer loyalty.  Provides direction, training and support to PRISM Support Level I associates during customer vending and VMI implementations also working directly with the Prism Support Level III associate for CM software upgrades and software failures.  Repairs and replaces defective/obsolete vending components.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will need to be the liaison between the Deco Implementation team, Customer Service and the Customer to ensure that product data culminated during the pre-implementation process is communicated back to the teams for cross functional collaboration. This is CRITICAL part of the analyzation process for determining the proper vending solutions as well as making sure that all bin sizing and unit of measure issues are dealt with before and during installation.
  • Must be able to use Excel as well as other analytical tools to analyze customer data to determine acceptable min / max levels to be shared with the Data build team.
  • Must be able to take the analyzed data back to the Customer to verify that the Customer agrees with the descriptions, unit of measure, as well as the OP / OQ levels.
  • Drives integrated customers to deliver MRO and Metalworking sales growth through the support and promotion of expansion of integrated solutions.
  • Recommend opportunities for solutions / spot buy growth to assist sales associate and sales management.
  • Supports product cross reference activities, understands and utilizes cross reference programs and technology.
  • Maintain knowledge of all inventory management solutions.
  • Supports MSC customer solutions and sales associates.
  • Understands company solutions, products, and services. Including product knowledge.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customers.
  • Guides PRISM Support Level I associates through training and support to resolve customer issues, increase product knowledge, and promote MSC Culture.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet or exceed customer standards while also building new customer relationships.
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing the PM program on Deco owned vending solutions.
  • Responsible for service calls on Deco owned vending solutions to ensure that vending solutions are operable at all items (Available on call as needed).
  • Will be required to work closely with the implementation team on vending solution installs as well as full integrated solutions.
    • A vending install can take from 1 week up to 3 weeks depending on the scope of work.
    • A full customer on-site integration will take from 2 weeks up to 6 weeks or longer depending on the scope of work.
  • Unpack orders, checks accuracy of shipment and put stock away at customer locations when necessary.
  • Ensure appropriate customer stock levels, generates new orders for merchandise, obtains customer approval to place orders when required.
  • Performs general (6S) housekeeping for service equipment and immediate area.
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s mission.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Driving record must allow for associate to be approved to drive a company vehicle.
  • Associates Degree or the equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • 2 years servicing or supporting integrated supply/inventory management solutions is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ sales and/or customer service experience required.
  • Relevant Military experience a plus.

 

SKILLS:

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in word-processing and spreadsheet software is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also required. 

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Position requires 50% daily travel and up to 40% overnight travel to support vending programs throughout the Deco zone
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the customer’s shift alignments during implementations.
  • May need to lift up to 50 lbs. based on customer needs.
