Environment, Social, and Governance
ESG is an acronym that stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. While the term ESG is still relatively new, MSC has been practicing it as a responsible corporate citizen for more than 80 years.
Our purpose and values go back to when our founder, Sid Jacobson, had a vision of building a business that strived for greatness and served a greater purpose: to make the world a better place. Our 2022 report highlights the progress we’ve made on our ESG journey, as well as the four key pillars of our strategy: Waste Reduction, Climate Change, Ethical Supply Chain Stewardship, and People & Communities. We continue to build on that strong foundation and look to accelerate our impact in the coming years.
Environment, Social, and Governance
ESG—Environmental, Social, and Governance—is a framework for how organizations uphold responsibilities to the planet, people, and ethical business. Though the term is new, MSC Industrial Supply Co. has embraced these values for over 80 years, inspired by founder Sid Jacobson’s vision to build a purpose-driven business that makes the world better.
