The Launch Program, Finance Associate is responsible for a wide range of various important duties. This position will be part of our rotational Launch Program. Assignments will include working with our Internal Audit, FP&A and other Finance functions. The associate will be able to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as gain the skills and experience that are necessary to prepare the graduate for a successful career at MSC.



  • Actively work with associates and management at various locations to perform some or all of the following:
  • Participate on internal financial audits, operational reviews, and field audits.
  • Perform independent inventory count procedures.
  • Completes quarterly internal control testing and review of external public reporting.
  • Design and execute analyses with summary reports for management consumption to guide decisions and drive profitability.
  • Analyze financial statements for innovative and improvement opportunities.
  • Complete budget and forecast solicitation and analysis, owning certain areas of the company.
  • Conducts business and financial analysis to identify strategic performance opportunities.
  • Performs measurement of investment benefits relative to financial commitments.
  • Collaborates with finance team associates to develop presentations including financial plans, company projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting of monthly physical inventory.
  • Provide business assistance to various groups within the Finance group where requested.    
  • Prepares account reconciliations.
  • Post journal entries as requested.
  • Plan, execute, and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Embody the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a business or HR-related discipline from an accredited college    or university.
  • Excellent academic record (minimum 3.5 GPA)



  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Highly organized, exhibit high level of initiative and strong problem solving ability required.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software is required.
  • Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also required.



  • A valid state driver’s license.
  • The ability to travel up to 10
