BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Analyst is responsible for supporting MSC’s digital analytics including analyzing on-site and off-site traffic sources, deriving insights from website performance and digital programs that lead to higher performance, creating holistic dashboards for presentation to senior level management, and collaborating with external partners to provide best in class reporting and analytics.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing an analytics and reporting framework to truly assess impact of our digital marketing efforts, generating monthly reports to be distributed to our global teams
  • Responsible for all digital program reporting and analytics including but not limited to website performance, onsite search and search-engine marketing.
  • Define, track and measure all digital marketing metrics including, but not limited to, budget distributions, goals, and ROI metrics
  • Analyze and assess the performance of online advertising campaigns and translate quantitative and qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the campaign strategy.
  • Responsible for all the recurring reporting within the digital marketing department
  • Analyze data through multiple data sources to answer key questions around new customer acquisition and engagement (CRM) campaigns
  • Identify high-value audience segments and influencers and develop go-to-market positioning in collaboration with the digital and segment marketing teams.
  • Coordinates with external digital marketing partners to analyze search data and previous campaigns to develop a better understanding of consumer behavior and identify new SEM opportunities
  • Correlate quantitative and qualitative search data to generate new campaigns, taking into consideration search behavior, product selection, and potential revenue
  • Presents verbal and written results, findings and insights to all levels including the Senior Executive Team.
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, marketing or statistics is required.
  • Minimum of two years analytics experience for: Paid Search, Organic/Natural Search, Affiliate programs/campaigns and within digital media (direct response and branding)
  • Google Analytics & Google AdWords certified

 

SKILLS:

  • Proficient with other web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics (SiteCatalyst) or IBM Digital Analytics (Coremetrics) is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital data and marketing mix
  • Understanding of advertising systems (like AdWords, DART/DoubleClick, Marin, Kenshoo, and Atlas)
  • Understands concepts of attribution modeling
  • Experience with SEO monitoring platforms such as SEMrush, Conductor, BrightEdge
  • Proficient in SEM (PPC and SEO) measurement.
  • Excellent analytical, planning & prioritization skills are required.
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas, statistical tools).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present analysis findings to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple business functions.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required.
