BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing Associate works with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager on the planning, execution, day-to-day management and analysis of digital marketing campaigns. This role works cross-functionally and with external teams to develop the appropriate content, execute product and co-op advertising opportunities and implement new technology.

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements digital marketing initiatives, including but not limited to promotions, email, SEO, PPC, Display, paid Social Media, and affiliate marketing
  • Responsible for the daily execution of PPC/SEO strategies, campaign maintenance, and account updates
  • Uses a data-driven approach to identify, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns to efficiently acquire new customers and increase purchases from existing customers
  • Supports major initiatives such as website releases, new site builds, and other large functionality implementations and works with IT to optimize site for SEO
  • Ensures websites are tagged properly for digital marketing program execution and tracking
  • Collaborates with Marketing to ensure optimized content, messaging & customer experience.
  • Collaborates with Category Management to implement and report on vendor co-op programs
  • Ensures consistent brand experience across digital marketing programs
  • Assists in developing, implementing, and managing digital marketing KPI’s, budgets, reporting, & partner/agency selection
  • Communicates campaign results, both written and verbal, to Marketing team & other stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Stays current with digital marketing & related technology trends
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose; participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required
  • GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through campus involvement, extracurricular activities or employment
  • Digital marketing experience a plus

     

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external associates and teams
  • Ability and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed are required.
