<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:


  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Logistics Analyst is responsible for the analysis and reporting of logistics information.  This position works cross-functionally to determine ways to optimize service levels, improve supply chain efficiency and minimize costs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Plans, organizes and executes Logistics activities and projects while ensuring assigned target dates are met.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participates in the assessment and review of project design alternatives and design change proposal impacts.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong participation in team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking project assignments, while providing the appropriate guidance to cross-functional team members.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Performs daily audits and maintains manifest tables within the AS/400 system to ensure optimized routing and order fulfillment.  
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Identifies and solves problems by designing and implementing systematic solutions.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Creates or revises standard operating procedures for logistics processes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Evaluates costs and identifies any potential improvement opportunities associated with expanding MSC’s Ground service territory network through the use of existing programs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Generates monthly reporting regarding UPS shipments and provides ongoing analysis.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Performs a quarterly profitability analysis of existing programs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Minimum of three years of analytical experience required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Project Management experience preferred.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">SKILLS:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Computer proficiency in Word Processing, Excel or Access spreadsheet software required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Excellent time management and organization skills required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time are required.
