BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will actively plan, schedule, execute and manage multiple ‘new business’ integration projects on a national scale in support of the approved scope-of-work (SOW) and fully executed small/single site to large account agreements to meet all mutually agreed upon expectations and deliverables. This individual will work together with both internal and external customers to ensure new accounts are brought online in a methodical, repeatable, predictable way to ensure both customer satisfaction and incremental revenue will be maximized.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes, drives and manages multiple projects as assigned.
  • Drives projects to completion and formally closes projects out with the customer.
  • Actively engages both internal and external customers.
  • Maintains project database, recordkeeping, project baseline and reporting systems.
  • Transfers project ownership to National Account Managers to drive long term incremental growth.
  • Participates in PDCA review process and leverages lessons learned to improve processes.
  • Supports new ideas, through brainstorming, to drive long-term sales productivity.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership to drive ongoing continuous improvement opportunities
  • Tracks project management effectiveness to project plan baseline.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department, and throughout the company, to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission. 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience is required.
  • Experience working directly with customers on projects is required.
  • Experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma principles preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment in supply chain or inventory management a plus
  • PMP certification a plus 

SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Project or similar tool or methodology is required.
  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills required.
  • Effective relationship management and communication skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to recommend alternative solutions and translate complex concepts into simplified and understandable examples required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills required.
  • Bi-lingual in both English and Spanish a plus. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 20% of the time may be required.

 

Compensation starting at $57,190.00 and up commensurate with experience.
