  • Works seamlessly with Customer Service and Sales to provide pricing to new and existing customers.
  • Analyze customer drawings and part description(s) to determine if adequate information has been received to create RFQ.
  • Determine appropriate suppliers to send RFQ’s.
  • Work with Suppliers to answer deviation requests or provide additional information
  • Analyze returned RFQ’s to determine Supplier that best matches customer requirements.
  • Learns alternate sources for products.
  • Identifies most effective as well as alternate sources for product.
  • Develops internal cross-functional relationships to enhance the purchasing process.
  • Ensures timeliness of quote delivery and the quality of the quote delivered through frequent interaction with Suppliers, purchasing, and sales.
  • Meets with Quotation and Sourcing teams regularly to discuss and resolve underperforming commodities.
  • Builds and maintains supplier database by commodity and country of origin.



  • An Associates Degree in Business or the equivalent is required
  • 5 years’ experience in sourcing or purchasing OEM components, Fasteners preferred. 



  • Computer literacy and proficiency Microsoft software suite is required.
  • Advanced Excel experience a plus (vlookup, pivot tables, etc)
  • Fastener industry knowledge or experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of descriptive statistics is required. 
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills are required. 
  • Basic negotiation and follow up skills are required. 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required.
  • Creative thinking approach to finding new suppliers
